is public on purpose: if a feed is down you should be able to tell, rather
than reading stale numbers that look current.

There is nothing to sign up for and nothing that would let us know you did.
Both of these are plain Atom feeds — paste one into any feed reader, or
into whatever you already use to get notifications on your phone.
/alerts.atom — only the
things worth interrupting you for: warnings, closures, outages, urgent
dispatch. Deliberately scarce. If this feed cries wolf you will mute it,
and then it is worth nothing on the day it matters.
/feed.atom — everything,
same order as the front page. Add ?kind=incident (or
weather, water, traffic,
power, civic, community,
sky, air, nature) for one category.
